Understand the Two AppData Locations
Most modern PC games store local saves in either
%LOCALAPPDATA% (C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Local) or %APPDATA% (C:\Users\[Username]\AppData\Roaming). Unreal Engine titles commonly use Local, while FromSoftware and emulators prefer Roaming.

Press Win + R to Open Windows Run
On your keyboard, press the Windows Key and R simultaneously. This opens the Run command dialog.

Enter the Environment Variable
Type
%localappdata% and press Enter to instantly jump to your Local AppData folder, bypassing all hidden folder restrictions. For Roaming titles, type %appdata%.

Locate Your Game Folder
Look for your game publisher (e.g., Capcom, FromSoftware) or game title. Save files are usually located under
