How to Restore a PC Game Save from a .BAT Backup

How to safely restore timestamped backup folders generated by our 1-click backup scripts.

1

Locate Your Backup Root on Desktop

Our backup utility saves archives to Desktop\GameSave_Backups\[GameName]\ by default.
2

Select Your Target Timestamp Folder

Inside the game backup directory, choose the timestamped folder you wish to roll back to (e.g. Backup_2026-09-12_14-30-00).
3

Ensure the Game Is Completely Closed

Verify via Task Manager that the game executable is not running in the background, which would lock save files.
4

Copy Files Back to the Active Directory

Open the live save folder using our 1-click Run command, select all files from your backup, and paste with overwrite.
